UNITED Nations Industrial Development Organisation. UNIDO, says a total of nine states in Nigeria will benefit from $3 million entrepreneurship project in the Country.
The project is aimed at preparing young people to create their own employment from secondary schools.
This was disclosed in a statement by UNIDO Industrial Development Officer, Noriko Takahashi, saying that the project will support the development of entrepreneurship content in secondary schools and infuse it into the curricular of 34 trade subjects.
Ismail Junaidu, the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Education Research and Development Council said that to achieve this goal they have to make sure that young people in Nigeria have the chance to become productive members of the society.
The nine beneficiary states are Anambra ,
Bauchi , Benue , Cross River , Delta , Katsina , Ogun , Ondo and Oyo State.
