Governor Ifeanyi Okowa sees the huge investment in
agriculture as necessary to create job opportunities for the country's teeming
unemployed youths.
Speaking when the Ukrainian Ambassador to Nigeria,
Dr Valeri Alesandruk paid him a courtesy visit in Asaba, the Governor lauded Ukraine’s
interests in investing in Nigeria's agricultural sector, noting that the
current administration is laying emphasis on agriculture, as it is the greatest
employer of labour.
While commending the Ukrainian Ambassador for his
country's interest in investing in the country, the Governor called for
continued beneficial warm relationship between both countries.
On his part, Dr Alesandruk, who is on his first
visit to Delta State, revealed that Ukraine is interested in doing agricultural
business in the state.
