Nigeria Customs Service has announced a major re-shuffle of its management.
According to a statement by the Customs spokesperson, Joseph Attah, the Comptroller-General, Hameed Ali, has approved the immediate redeployment of 48 Comptrollers in line with the ongoing reforms of the service.
Those redeployed according to the statement include; M. J. Madugu, who was moved from Sokoto/Kebbi/Zamfara Command to Ogun, E.A. Udo, from investigation department to Oyo/Osun Command, and K. Isiyaku of Tariff has now been moved to Trade Department at Port Harcourt 1 Command, and others.
Furthermore, Attah said Team A, B and C, which would be coordinated by A. Azarema, would support the Federal Operations Units in order to tackle all forms of smuggling activities nationwide, particularly enforcement of non-importation of rice and vehicles through land borders.
