The
Delta State House of Assembly bye-election is currently on-going in the six
wards of the Warri South Constituency 1.
Rizefm
106.7, for the very first time in Warri, is carrying out a live coverage of the
by-election with correspondents stationed at the various wards.
Filing
reports from ward 2 Ode Itsekiri, represented by Rize Fm’s correspondents,
Monoyo Edun and Bright Omaghomi said that the accreditation process ended at
8:45am, while voting started at 9:01am. They further stated that elections so
far have been peaceful.
Reports from ward 5 GRA represented by
Rizefm’s correspondents, Ruth Amadin and Andre Agbontaen revealed that students
of Nana College were undergoing their WAEC examinations while voting was taking
place, while traders still went about their normal sales and businesses.
RizeFm’s correspondent, Ruth Amadin, while
speaking with the Chairman of the Warri South Local Government area, Hon. Mofe
Edema who earlier cast his vote at Nana College, expressed happiness with the
peaceful voting process so far.
Reports from ward 6 represented by RizeFm’
s correspondents, Okiemute Obahor and Joan Igbava, accreditation process was
yet to commence at most of the polling units at the time of filing this report.
They also assured of adequate security on ground.
