The Nigerian Air Force, (NAF), has begun a free medical service outreach to residents of Barakallahu community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State as part of its corporate social responsibility to its host communities. At the commencement of the exercise, the Air Officer Commanding, (AOC) Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Christopher Okoye, said the exercise was to enhance the health status of the residents.
He said over 500 people are being targeted for screening and treatment while those with critical cases would be referred to the NAF Base hospital for further treatment. The residents through their leader, Suleiman Ibrahim, commended the airforce for the gesture which they described as monumental and a rare opportunity.
