Delta state Local Governments charged to comply with financial rules

Delta state Commissioner for Works, James Augoye, has ordered the contractor handling the road project in Aniocha South Local Government Area to stop further operation until it repairs the failed portion of the project.

For receiving mobilisation fee without mobilising and commencing operation effectively at the site, the Commissioner for Works has also threatened to write a letter to the state Ministry of Justice to sanction the contractor handling the Obomkpa Road Project if it fails resume operation after a week of notification.
The commissioner, who expressed dismay over the multiple cracking on the on-going Ukwunzu road project, also inspected smooth operations at Circular road/Hezua Road in Akwukwu-Igbo and the 5.6 km Idumuje-Unor/Idumuje-Ugboko road.
