The nation’s soccer governing body, NFF yesterday reechoed her support for Amaju Pinnick, the youthful president of the soccer federation, who is vying for a place on the executive board of Confederation of African Football, CAF.
The NFF board in a release made available to the media yesterday urged Pinnick to not only go on but ensure that whoever emerges the new CAF president after the election billed for next month in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is a person that would best protect the nation’s soccer interest.
This support was given based on the fact that as the NFF President and a member of the CAF Organizing Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations, Pinnickis fully in tune with the political play at that level and knows what would be best for Nigeria.
