Edo
State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has directed management of the College of
Education, Igueben in Igueben Local Government Area of the State, to get the
institution ready for accreditation within 90 days.
Governor
Obaseki gave the order yesterday after assessing facilities at the
institution.
According
to reports the governor inspected projects being sponsored by the school as
well as those by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund.
The
governor, who decried the infrastructure decay, directed the Provost, Prof.
Matthew OmoOjugo and other management staff to reposition the college.
He directed
the provost to do an audit of projects executed by TETFund and those by the
school.
Governor
Obaseki promised his administration’s support towards tackling their
challenges in infrastructure, payment of salaries and arrears and proper
funding of the school.
