Ezekiel Ogbianko, the state Chairman
of the association, told newsmen in Yenagoa today that the youths would be
selected from the communities where the farms were located.
Clearing
of five thousand hectares of farmlands have already started across the state
and plans are underway to employ over 485 youths to work with us in these farms
located in different parts of the state.
On the difficult terrain in the
state, the chairman said it was not a hindrance to rice cultivation,
nevertheless, with modern farming tools, the challenge would be surmounted.
