Governing Council of the Edo State College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi has approved the suspension of 25 staff of the institution for protesting against alleged high-handedness of the College Provost, Dr. Friday Obasogie.
Chairman of the institution Governing Council, Barr. Gentleman Amegor, who announced the suspension at a briefing described the protest of the staff as unruly, uncivilized and barbaric.
Amegor said the action of the staff during their protest to the premises of the state Ministry of Agriculture was unnecessary.
He said a disciplinary committee has been set up to look into the matter.
