Yobe State Governor reiterate his administration’s commitment to strengthening the health sector



    
 
   The Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening the health sector, as he inspects the Medical College Complex of the Yobe State University.

    Established as part of the administration’s effort to develop and enhance human resource for health, the College is also to support the newly established Yobe University Teaching Hospital (YSUTH), Damaturu.
   The Governor was conducted round the Medical College Complex by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Yakubu Mukhtar and the Chairman of the University Governing Council, Barrister Ado Isyaku.
   He expressed satisfaction with the quality of work at the site but asked the contractors to speed up work to meet the six months’ dateline as content in terms of the contract.
   Answering questions from newsmen after the inspection, Governor Gaidam recapped that the Yobe State government under his leadership accord healthcare services a high priority.
   Gaidam also disclosed that 17 medical doctors have been recruited from the Republic of Egypt as efforts are been done to bring quality medical services to the doorsteps of the people.
