45 jumbo bags of Cannabis worth N250 million from Ghana intercepted by the Western Marine Command

     The Zonal Coordinator of Nigeria Customs Service ,NCS, Zone ‘A’, Assistant Comptroller-General Eporwei Edike, said 45 jumbo bags of Cannabis worth N250 million from Ghana had been intercepted by the Western Marine Command .

   Edike disclosed  this to newsmen during his visits to the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Customs Command, Federal Operations Unit  Zone “A’’ of Customs and Western Marine Command of the service in Lagos.
He attributed the success recorded in making the seizure to the Comptroller-General of Customs , Retired Col. Hameed Ali, for his amiable leadership .
   Edike said the comptroller-general had enabled officers to be more focused in eradicating smuggling throughout the country.
He applauded all the area controllers and unit heads for their resilience and dedication to duty.
    Edike further urged the Controller of  Murtala Muhammed Airport,to triple the revenue target and assist government to accomplish its responsibility.
