Jammeh diclosed this when he received members of the African Bar Association at the State House in Banjul, yesterday.
This comes after ECOWAS’ ruling during the Fiftieth Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government in Abuja on the matter, in which it directed Jammeh to step down and allow a smooth transition.
According to reports, the reasons he gave were his claims of electoral irregularities which allegedly happened during the election.
Jammeh has also accused ECOWAS of overruling him after he had given his side of the story during the visit of the African heads of state.
He further stated that he would not hand over power on January 19, 2017, to President-elect Adama Barrow.
