Minister of health says government committed to health care coverage

    The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment towards achieving Universal Healthcare Coverage in Nigeria.

     In a statement made available to newsmen yesterday revealed that the Minister gave the assurance during a Road Show Sensitization Campaign to mark the World Universal Healthcare Coverage Day at the Kuchigoro Community in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
    Adewole further encouraged the people of the community to support the government to achieve quality health care across the country.
     The minister who was represented by the Director, Hospital Services, Dr. Wapada Balami, said that sensitization campaign is part of the Federal Government’s commitment towards revitalizing and making functional one primary healthcare  facility per ward in Nigeria.

While responding the Community leader of Kuchigoro, Ibrahim Wambi, assured that the community would work with the Ministry to achieve Universal Healthcare coverage agenda in the health sector for better delivery.
