1.THE POWER OF SMELL
We’re not talking Dior or Gucci scents. Unbeknownst to you, a person's natural smell is one of the first things that will attract you to them. That’s right, studies have shown that men and women are attracted to one another through a chemical messenger called pheromones.
2. PARENTAL TRAITS
It might sound a bit weird, but research has shown that men and women actually look for traits that are similar to that of their parents. David Perrett of the University of St. Andrews did a study that showed that people who resemble your parents subconsciously make it easier for you to create a form of trust.
3. ANGEL IN A RED DRESS
The color red is the most attractive color a woman can wear. One study showed that a woman is more likely to be asked out if she wears the color red.
4. SYMMETRY
Several studies have shown that most people subconsciously prefer a more symmetrical face in a partner. The reason for this particular attraction is that a more symmetrical face equates to good genetics and a healthy person.
5. BEARDS AND PROTECTION?
A 2014 Australian Study showed that men who have heavy stubble facial hair are perceived as more attractive because it represents a sense of responsibility to raise a child. The beard is also perceived as having the ability to protect.
