Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, Chief Ebikeme Clark, is appealing to the government and the state Commissioner of Police to assist Burutu Divisional Police with necessary tools to enhance policing duties in the community.
The council Chairman said that of all the councils in the state, Burutu remains the only one without a police patrol van or boat, lamenting that this has hampered the operations of the police in the area.
Speaking when he visited the Divisional Police Officer, Larry Leleji, in his office to commiserate with him on the demise of one of his officers in Burutu recently, Clark commended him for the maturity in handling the matter.
