Delta State Governor- Government should cooperate with the media to move the country forward.

   Not playing down on the relevance of the press in the survival of Nigeria, DELTA State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa says it is important for government to cooperate with the media to move the country forward.

   Speaking at the lecture element of the Press Week of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Delta State Council, Governor Okowaassured that he will continue to support the press.
He used the occasion to congratulate Nigeria Union of Journalists, Delta State Council for the success of the week.
   On his part, the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, who was the chairman of the occasion, appealed to the state government not to allow blackmailers to have a field day in the state, noting, that activities of blackmailers through the social media can lead to security challenges to government.
