Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom has commended the Nigerian Army for approving the establishment of a science secondary school in the state.
The governor who gave the
commendation when the Nigeria Army High command led by Chief of Army Staff COAS
Tukur Burutai paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Uyo said
that the Army Science School would be updated with modern facilities to
facilitate its immediate take-off.
He enjoined the army
authorities to complement the establishment of the Science School with an Army
Engineering Centre to offer training in vocational skills stressing that the
availability of Gas, Information and Communication Technology compliant optical
network would aid the centre in its training programmes.
