Not fewer than 57,737 people have been registered in the first three days of the ongoing voter registration exercise and 4,913 others have also collected their Permanent Voter Cards.
Disclosing this in a statement at the end of the Commission’s weekly meeting, INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Adedeji Soyebi, said 1,820 people applied for transfer of Polling Units and 1,117 others applied for replacement of their PVCs.
The exercise, which is ongoing in all the Commission’s offices in the 774 local government areas of the federation, has been peaceful with impressive turnout.
