Twenty-three monarchs out of the 25 Urhobo Kingdoms in Delta State have expressed worry over the activities of armed herdsmen in their domains, even as they have called on the authorities to checkmate the killings.
Speaking on behalf of the monarchs at his palace during a courtesy visit by the Urhobo Security Network, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, His Majesty, Richard Ogben, described the activities of the herdsmen as worrisome, insisting that their activities must be checked by the state and federal governments.
Earlier in his address, National co-coordinator of the group, Itoloden Daghware, explained that the body’s objective is to assist the less privilege Urhobos to achieve their dreams.
