Oyo invests in silo construction

After 12 months ago of conceiving the idea of constructing a silo in Oyo state, the state government is set to complete 10,000 metric tonnes of fully mechanised and automated silo by the end of August in Awe town, beside Oyo.

The State Commissioner for Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, Oyewole Oyewumi, made this known, stressing that the move is part of Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s commitment to making the state a provider and supplier of agricultural products.

This feat, when achieved by the end of August, will translate to over 25 per cent increase in agricultural output per annum in Oyo state.
