NPFL leaders Plateau United had their five-point lead cut down
to two after second-placed MFM defeated ABS FC 2-1 on Sunday.
Plateau United began the matchday with a five-point lead but a
1-0 defeat at El-Kanemi meant the league leaders suffered their seventh loss of
the campaign.
At the Agege Stadium in Lagos, MFM FC took a two-goal lead
against ABS after 66 minutes through goals from Austine Ogunye from the spot
and Sikiru Olatunbosun in open play. MFM now have 46 points from 27 matches played.
