Transgender soldiers have challenged President Donald Trump over his announcement on the ban he placed on transgenders serving in the military.
A member of the LGBT who spoke to the press has vowed to continue his service in the military despite the announcement. Recall that Donald Trump, Wednesday, took to his twitter account to announce his intention to disallow transgender individuals to serve in the military even if it means denying some of the bravest Americans the right to serve and protect our nation.”
According to a report by Air force Times, a Staff Sergeant, Logan Ireland, of the Air Force has said, ‘’You are not going to deny me my right to serve my country when I am fully qualified and able and willing to give my life.”
Mr Ireland, who is married to Army Corporal, Laila Villanueva, a transgender woman also added that, “We have pilots, we have doctors, we have combat medics, we have security forces members like myself.”
