Oyo State Government call on residents of the state to adopt peaceful means in resolving land disputes






    Oyo State Government has called on the residents of the state to adopt peaceful means in resolving land disputes.

   Secretary to the State Government, Olalekan Alli made the call on behalf of the state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi at a meeting of a sub-technical committee on Boundary and Communal Disputes, which held at the House of Chiefs, Secretariat, Ibadan yesterday.
   Alli particularly enjoined the people of Afijio and Oyo East local government areas of the State to use peaceful and non-disruptive means in resolving the dispute over the controversial Eleranko farmland at Awe area of the state.
   He assured that the State Government will embark on investigation on the said farm land with a view to settling the dispute between both parties amicably.
