West Ham have agreed terms with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of Javier Hernandez.
Hernandez, who spent five years at Manchester United between 2010 and 2015, has a £13m release clause in his contract at Leverkusen.
And a statement from West Ham confirmed the Mexico international is due in London "in the coming days" to complete the formalities of his move.
Sky Sports News revealed earlier this month that West Ham had held talks with Hernandez about a move to the London Stadium, with the club intent on signing at least one forward this summer.
'Chicarito' spent four seasons with Manchester United, where he scored 59 goals in 156 appearances, before going on loan to Real Madrid in the 2014/15 campaign.
The two-time Premier League winner left Old Trafford in August 2015 for Germany, where he's been even more prolific, netting 39 times in 76 matches for Leverkusen.
