Delta state government to commence the recovery of all the lands that were not regularized as they are deemed to be illegally occupied

The  three months window period approved by the Delta state Government for persons occupying the Core Two II, of  Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area to regularize their land documents has expired.

The Chairman of the Taskforce on Regularization of Government Acquired Land in the state, Chief Frank Omare, who disclosed this in a statement in Asaba, said the state government will, on February 7th, commence the recovery of all the lands that were not regularized as they are deemed to be illegally occupied.

He  said the taskforce will  next week commence “Operation Show Your Regularization Document,” saying that affected occupants have been directed to photocopy their documents showing evidence of the regularization exercise and paste in front of the landed properties.

Omare said that the land in the Core Two II, Okpanam, was duly acquired by the state government, noting that government was in possession of all the necessary documents for the acquisition .
