Delta State House of Assembly Swears in Warri South I New Lawmaker



   

   Exactly six days after clinching victory in a bye-election, Warri South 1 Constituency membe-elect, Shola Daibo, has been sworn in to the Delta State House of Assembly.

   The swearing in ceremony which took place yesterday, witnessed an overflow of observers in the viewers’ gallery of the legislative chamber, while the state Assembly Complex, teemed with supporters who were obviously in varying degrees of jubilation.
   Speaker, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya, led the member-elect, Daibo, to step forward to take the oath of allegiance and oath of membership administered by the Clerk of the House, Barr. Edna Ochulor, before the commencement of the day’s business.
   Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Tim Owhefere, in an introductory tour, conducted her round the chamber as she shook hands and exchanged hugs with members of the House.
  The Speaker, on behalf of the 6th Assembly, congratulated Daibo Shola as member representing Warri South 1 Constituency and called on her to resume duties as a sitting member in the plenary session.
   Addressing Assembly correspondents after the plenary session, Hon. Daibo promised to deliver on her mandate and called on her constituents for support.
