SERVICOM
is urging Nigerians to challenge service failures in
Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs.
The
National Coordinator of SERVICOM, Nnenna Akajemeli, who disclosed
this during a media briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, said that there was the
need for a massive public awareness about the services of the MDAs.
Speaking
on the plan of the agency, Akajemeli said SERVICOM would ensure a massive
public awareness campaign on the need for citizens to challenge service
failures in the MDAs and to constructively engage with the media and the civil
society organizations to bring to the fore issues bordering on service delivery
in the public sector.
The
national coordinator added that there should be an Act through an
executive bill for the establishment of the SERVICOM Office to enable it to
function more effectively.
She further
called for adequate funding for the SERVICOM office to enable it to
achieve its mandate and make much impact in facilitating the provision of
quality service delivery by all the MDAs.
