Delta State Government says it is
poised to ensure that the image of the state is re-branded through beauty
contest and cultural reformation.
The Commissioner for
Information, Patrick Ukah, disclosed
this during a courtesy call of the winner of Little Miss Queen Delta Beauty
Pageant Contest, Kelechi Osirike, in Asaba.
He advised the little beauty queen
to be part of the crusade against cultism, child abuse, indecent dressing and
teenage prostitution, adding that the government of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa would
continue to encourage creativity and talent display among youths in the state.
Earlier, Kelechi Osirike appealed to
the state government to support her with necessary assistance to enable her
succeed in getting exposure within and outside the state.
