Gombe United coach Manu Garba given three match ultimatum

Gombe United coach Manu Garba is allegedly battling to save his job as  the  Premier League club sink deeper into the relegation zone following their  2-0  loss to Remo Stars in Sagamu on Sunday.

Gombe in are in  the 18th position with 26 points from 22 matches. The management of the side had  given the  former Golden Eaglets  coach  a three-match ultimatum.  “The loss on Sunday has not helped the position of coach Garba. When we informed  some members of the board about the loss to Remo Stars, they were not happy,” the source said. “They have however told  the coach to ensure that the team get out of their current position to a more respectable one at the end of the next three matches. The club’s goal is to remain in the Premier League for this season but it is looking weaker with each match and the board  wants to ensure that the target is achieved.”

Sources claimed that the board would sack the former El-Kanemi player, who helped Nigeria win the UAE 2013 FIFA Under-17 World Cup,  if he  failed to move the team out of the relegation zone.
