Lagos state set to evacuate abandoned vehicles

  

     Come July 1, 2017, Lagos state government will begin the evacuation of abandoned and disused vehicles littering the state.

    Already, a task force has been established to carry out the action, which is in furtherance of the spirited effort to make Lagos State cleaner and healthier to reside in.
Consequently, a vehicular scrap collection agent will paste a Removal Notice Stickers on identified abandoned vehicles with a 7-day period for self-removal by owners of the vehicle.
    Following the expiration of the 7-day grace period, identified abandoned vehicles will be removed by the taskforce to a designated depot within the State.
   Thereafter, vehicles that are left unclaimed within 30 days will be forfeited to the state government.
