Officials CAF and FIFA, national association
officials and national team coaches are in Morocco for the first ever African
Football Symposium to brainstorm on how to improve the beautiful game across
the continent.
The two-day meeting that will be held from
July 18 to 19 at the International Conference Center Mohammed VI in Skhirat is
an opportunity for dialogues and exchange expertise of all African football
decision makers.
The meeting with the theme, African Football,
Our Vision, has attracted former footballers including big names like Antoine
Bell, Anthony Baffoe, Geremi Njitap, Austin 'Jay Jay' Okocha, Badou Zaki,
Hossam Hassan, Patrick Mboma, Ahmed Faras and Mohammed Timoumi among others.
Renowned coaches Claude Le Roy, Herve Renard
and Florent Ibenge will be part of the conversation that is expected to get the
wheels of change rolling under the new CAF leadership of Ahmad.
According to reports Fifa President Gianni
Infantino and Secretary General Fatma Samoura have arrived, to be part of this
historic meeting that will focus on Afcon, interclub competitions, youth
football, media and communication, marketing and television, international
partnerships as well as the role of players and their representatives.
