Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission fix July 15, 2017, for the conduct of election into the 21 local government councils

     Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission has fixed July 15, 2017, for the conduct of election into the 21 local government councils in the state.

    Chairman of the commission, Aliyu Mera, made the announcement after a stakeholders meeting in Birnin Kebbi, noting that the early announcement is to enable adequate preparations on the part of political parties, stakeholders and the general public.
   The commission would in due course, notify stakeholders on further arrangements for the election. Reports say twenty-eight political parties were present at the meeting.
