President Barrow pledges $25 million to Farmers ahead of Rainy Season




    President Adama Barrow of The Gambia has plegded to release 25 million dollars to farmers ahead of the rainy season, which is due in two months’ time.

   President Barrow said in a press statement that so far 25 million U.S. dollars is available from the Islamic Development Bank to support farmers with groundnut seeds and fertilizers for the upcoming rainy season.
   He said during his recent tour of the county, people expressed the need for urgent support for agricultural and health inputs, even as he appealed for unity amongst Gambians.
   Furthermore, the President requested the support of the National Assembly as an oversight institution to sure that the quality of governance is strengthened.
