South-South Zone of CAN holds interdenominational victory thanksgiving service in honour of Pastor Ayo






    Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, has urged the immediate past president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, not to see his bowing out of the saddle of CAN leadership as a call to retirement but a call to take up more responsibilities for the body of Christ both within and outside the country.
    Rize FM Correspondent, Laju Awala, reports that the Governor made the call in an address at the reception and interdenominational victory thanksgiving service held in honour of Pastor Ayo by the South-South Zone of CAN at the International Gospel Centre Ajamimogha, Warri.
   Governor Okowa noted that as CAN President, Pastor Ayo gave an uncommon voice of advocacy to the church in Nigeria and appealed to him to continue in that stead, adding that CAN leadership needs his support.
     The Delta state Governor also spoke on the need for the Church harp on the importance of salvation and wake up to its true responsibilities especially now that the nation is dying need of true patriotic and sincere men and women.
   There was also a message from the Governor of Bayelsa State Seriake Dickson, delivered by the Secretary to the State Governor, Dokubo Spiff.
