Nigeria
striker, Shola Ameobi, has extended his deal with English League One side Notts
County and will appear in their colours for the 2017/18 season.
He
joined Notts County in February and on a short-term basis but has impressed the
club to have his stay extended.
The
former Newcastle United striker played 17 times and scored four goals at Meadow
Lane which prompted his former teammate, Kevin Nolan, now manager of Notts
County, to hand him a new deal.
The
35-year-old said he is delighted to continue with the team as he has enjoyed
his time with the club.
He
also expressed determination to help make the 2017/18 campaign an enjoyable and
successful one for fans of the club.
Ameobi
was part of the Nigeria squad for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
