Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, the United
Arab Emirates and Yemen have cut diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing it of
destabilizing the region.
They also say Qatar is backing militant
groups including Islamic State and Al-Qaeda.
Meanwhile, Qatar has called the decision
unjustified and with no basis.
The unprecedented move is being seen as a
significant split between powerful Gulf countries, who are also close US
allies.
