The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has announced plans to release the results of 80,889 candidates whose results were withheld by the examination body.
The students’ results were withheld for their alleged involvement in various forms of examination malpractice during the last Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The Registrar of the Board, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, made the clarification while addressing reporters yesterday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
He said the results would be released after a thorough investigation of the affected candidates and proprietors of computer-based centres who allegedly connived with such students.
Professor Oloyede, who decried the intensity of examination malpractice, noted that JAMB would introduce electronic devices to checkmate the activities of examination fraudsters.
