Rivers United's Best Deemua has expressed his happiness at making his first appearance of the season for the Port Harcourt club.
The 18-year-old started Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, game against Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium before he was replaced by Ghanaian marksman, Godbless Asamoah, in the 53rd minute.
Although Rivers United lost the game despite their efforts, Deemua said plans are in top gear for their next game at home against ABS FC.
Deemua acknowledges that circumstances could have been happier and is calling on fans of the club to stand by the players, saying that all hope is not lost.
Rivers United are currently in 19th place in the 20-team NPFL standings with 15 points from their first 14 matches.
