DELTA State Governor, Senator . Ifeanyi Okowa is calling on the Federal Government to have a sustainable policy on road maintenance.
The Governor made the call yesterday while responding to allegations that his administration had failed to reconstruct failed portions of Federal roads.
Governor Okowa disclosed that most often, the state governments was stopped by agencies of the federal government from fixing such roads even at no cost to the federal government.
The governor also used the occasion to sympathize with the families of the Principals who lost their lives in an auto accident on the Benin and Warri expressway, assuring that his administration would fix the failed portion of the road.
He further thanked the traditional rulers in Delta State for instilling in their subjects the need to maintain peace and also, protect government facilities in their domains, noting that the state is peaceful and conducive for investments to thrive.
