Lagos State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Hyginus Omeje, is warning vehicle drivers against loading their vehicles above bridge heads and electrical installations, saying they risked being electrocuted.
He said some trucks in the city centre took the risk of carrying containers or loads that were higher than electrical cables, foot and flyover bridges.
While advising truck drivers to stop the dangerous habits, Omeje said such action was capable of destroying pedestrian bridges and other installations.
He added that excess loading of vehicles is an offence, and such vehicles carrying loads higher than bridges would be impounded if caught.
