Plateau United Step Up League Title Chase

The Management of Nigeria Professional Football League leaders, Plateau United of Jos, is to improve on its players' welfare package in order to put them at par with their colleagues in other clubs.

According to a release today signed by the General Manager of Plateau United, Pius Henwam, the decision was reached during a brainstorming session involving the management, technical crew and players at the club's house in Jos on Tuesday.
Henwan who praised the team for returning to the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League table, disclosed that efforts are being made to ensure that their welfares are well taken care of.
The General Manager challenged the team to exhibit more discipline, hard work and commitment towards the club aspiration of picking a continental ticket at the end of the season.
He challenged the team to remain focused by winning their last two matches of the first round so as to retain their place at the top of the league table.
While appreciating Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong, for creating the enabling environment for the team to thrive this season, Henwan appealed to the players to avoid acts capable of derailing their focus, and win a trophy as a sign of appreciation to the governor and the people of Plateau State.
